The Course
15.75 miles · 3,835 ft of climbing. Start on Kokeʻe Road in Kekaha at the haul cane road intersection (pole #817). Finish in Kokeʻe State Park near the entrance to Kanaloahuluhulu Meadow (pole #0702).
Start and finish zones are controlled; only cyclists with race numbers may start and cross the line. The first half of the course is closed to traffic (pending County approval); the second half is open. Center-line rule applies after the initial flat start section.
Entry & Eligibility
A USA Cycling license is required for all riders. No annual license? Buy a one-day license (~$15) during online registration. All adult racers sign their own USAC waiver online. There is no race-day registration.
Packet Pick-Up
10 am – 2 pm · Location TBA. All racers must receive a race number and hold a valid USAC license before racing. First-timers are strongly encouraged to attend — you’ll get critical race information.
Can’t make it? Pick up your packet race morning 6:30–7:15 am at the Kekaha Neighborhood Center — email us in advance so we can send you key info.

The finish is cool and often wet! Volunteers will haul a small “top bag” to the finish pavilion for you. Pack warm dry clothes, rain gear, footwear, and recovery drink. Mark it with your name or race number.
Categories
Race age = your age on Dec. 31. Categories need at least 2 participants to run.

Prizes
Cash or gift certificates: 1st = $40, 2nd = $20. Top three places in each category are recognized at the awards ceremony in the meadow. Subject to change.
Rules
All USA Cycling road racing rules apply — see usacycling.org. Failure to comply can mean disqualification, or not being allowed to start.
After the Race
Look for our banners and bike racks at the stone pavilion in Kanaloahuluhulu Meadow. We’ll deliver top bags and provide a hot bowl of something ono for racers and volunteers, plus beverages and snacks for early finishers.
Family and friends can grab lunch at Kokeʻe Lodge or pack a picnic. Enjoy the cool mountain air, visit Kokeʻe Museum, and don’t miss the awards ceremony.
Heads up: cell signal in Kokeʻe State Park is nearly nonexistent (AT&T users have some luck). Alcohol is not allowed in State Parks.
From Lihuʻe Airport: follow the main highway (Rte. 50) west ~30 miles to Kekaha. Turn right on Amakihi Road at St. Theresa’s Church. Kekaha Neighborhood Center: 8130 Elepaio Rd. Check-in at the west pavilion.
